Visit Vessel, the striking sculptural landmark in Midtown Manhattan.

Located in the lively Hudson Yards neighborhood, Vessel delivers a unique architectural experience alongside incredible views of the city.

Designed by Thomas Heatherwick and manufactured in Italy before being transported to New York, the structure rises 150 feet and features 16 levels of interconnected staircases that weave together in a remarkable geometric design.

With its honeycomb-like form, Vessel is just as impressive from the inside as it is from the outside. It’s no surprise that it has quickly become one of New York City’s most photographed landmarks. Capture standout photos from a variety of angles, with perspectives that shift throughout the day.

Getting in

Simply have your pass scanned by Experience Ambassadors at the entry area.

Admission ticket is valid for 1-time entry at the time chosen on that day.

Wheelchair accessibility

Vessel is primarily made up of stairs. Vessel offers an elevator for those who require it for their visit. Please notify Vessel Experience Ambassadors upon arrival or in advance.

Please note:

Bags and luggage larger than 9 x 14 x 22 inches are not permitted. For security purposes, Hudson Yards reserves the right to inspect any bags.
Bikes, scooters, or skateboards are not allowed in Vessel. There is a bike rack nearby on 30th and 10th Avenue.
Tripods and selfie sticks are not permitted.

Weather notice

Vessel is an outdoor activity and is open during all normal weather conditions, but Hudson Yards reserve the right to close Vessel during inclement or extreme weather, at their sole discretion. Unless they have determined to close Vessel, tickets will not be exchanged due to weather. If Vessel or a portion of Vessel closes due to severe weather conditions, Experience Ambassadors will be available to provide assistance and information.

Can I bring food and drinks inside the Vessel?

Clear, plastic water bottles are permitted in Vessel, however, no other food or drink is allowed. Glass bottles are strictly prohibited.

Beautiful Architecture & views of the surrandings

We didn't know exactly what it was before going, but, we really liked it! the Architecture is super IMPRESSIVE! We went around the time to closure and it was empty, we went up in the elevator and went down through the stairs. Pictures don't capture the beauty of this place.

The views are limited, and only one side is open, which makes the experience less impressive than expected. The elevator was also not working properly, making the visit even more frustrating.

It is a really spectacular building. It was good to see how special it is, but the experience was a bit lowkey. It is basically just a simple viewpoint. But the staff were nice and the experience also. If you have free time in the city I recommend to visit Vessel, but if you have only limited time, I think there are several more iconic attractions to visit in New York. Also important to mention the using the Gocity app is a good choice during our New York visit. It is easy and comfortable to use.

Ok, but I've expected something more tbh. Not all passes are opened. Cannot go around fully.

Would have been more fun if the elevator wasnt broken. The place is a maze. Walked up all the up to see that the side I actually wanted was on the other side. Staff didn’t really care when I asked for what is where.
