What you'll do
Fraunces Tavern® Museum has played a huge role in the history of the United States. At one point, the museum, which also hosts a restaurant, was used as a headquarters for the first President of the United States, George Washington. President Washington also bade farewell to the continental army from the tavern in 1783.
Today the museum is home to a collection of over 3,000 artifacts from the Revolutionary War and Colonial America. You can also find a lock of George Washington's hair on display.
